What Are Quilling Cards?

Quilling Cards are special greeting cards that are adorned with delicate paper art. The technique involves coiling, curling, and layering strips of paper to form patterns and designs. Whether you like florals, animals, abstract designs, or even artist-inspired paintings, Quilling Cards showcase fine artistic details that elevate a simple card into a keepsake that is to be cherished for years to come.

How Are Quilling Cards Made?

It all starts with an initial idea for a design, which is then created on computer software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Every Quilling Card is handmade by artisans at their workshop in Vietnam, and they are also a Fair Trade Federation Member. The finalized design gets printed on the card, and the artisans use a quilling pen to thread strips of high quality Japanese kishu paper into tight coils. From there, the coil is relaxed and then molded into the necessary shape, and then glued down onto the card. This process gets repeated over and over, shape by shape, until the final work of art is completed. Fun fact – Quilling Card also achieved two Guinness World Records titles: most people quilling simultaneously and largest quilling paper mosaic.
